What does it cost?

There are a few different costs involved in having a website. From a one time fee to build it, a yearly fee to register the domain name and the SSL certificate to keep it secure, to the monthly fee of hosting it.

Website Build Fee

We start our pricing our at around $1500 for a basic brochure style website, which takes us about 15 to 20 hours to build. But we sometimes offer discounts or rebates, and are will to break those down into easy payments. So even if this seems out of your budget, please reach out and we will try our best to work with you.

Maintenance & Updates

Websites require regular updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure they remain secure and functional. One of the services we provide is a monthly management fee to perform these tasks for you at $150 per month, we also cover most of the other associated costs below under this monthly fee so you don’t have to worry about when they are due, and missing a payment, or losing access to anything. 

Web Hosting

Web hosting is typically a fee that is paid per month or per year, that averages about $20-$30 per month, to store your website on a specific host to be accessible to your customers. They come in many different options and restrictions such as speed, how much data is used and stored, how many views you get per month, ect.

Under our monthly management fee, we incur and cover those costs for you.

Yearly Domain Registration

Much like your phone number, your web domain (example: WhateverYourBusinessNameIs.com) is what you decide on, based on what is available and pay a yearly fee to register, is typically about $20 for a year.

SSL Certificate

An SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) certificate is a digital certificate that authenticates the identity of a website and encrypts the data transmitted between the server and the user’s browser. This encryption ensures that any sensitive information, such as passwords, credit card details, or personal data, is securely transmitted and protected from eavesdropping or tampering by malicious entities.

SSL certificates are particularly important for websites that handle sensitive information, like e-commerce sites, online banking, or any site requiring login credentials. They also help build trust with visitors, as they provide assurance that the website is legitimate and that their data is secure.

However Google and other search engines will penalize the results for those websites who do not have an SSL certificate. As well as many web browsers will alert users with a warning. So it is an excellent idea to have an SSL certificate.

These typically cost around $60-$80 for the year.

CMS & Premium Plug-in Fees

We typically build our websites using the popular content management system (CMS) WordPress as a backend. WordPress is free, however occasionally there may be additional functionality that will require additional premium plug-ins that come with their own associated monthly or yearly fees.

Under our monthly management fee, we typically incur most of those costs.
